Compensation Range: $22 to $25 per hour 

Compensation may vary based on applicant's work experience, education level, skill set, and/or location.  

Job Purpose

As a Sales Intern, you will immerse yourself in every facet of our sales process, supported by our seasoned professionals. This role is crafted for those who aspire to learn our sales cycle, offering experience in customer interaction, lead generation, and helping build our existing key accounts, while finding new ones also.  You will also be exposed to elements of product marketing, industry events, and other business development activities. This is a hybrid/temporary position and the candidate must reside in the Kansas City area.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Master our sales strategies and processes from prospecting to follow-up.
  • Conduct market research and analyze future trends, customer needs, while growing our Data Center market share.
  • Cultivate our existing key accounts, while identifying potential new clients and assist in expanding our sales pipeline.
  • Engage with prospects across multiple platforms to showcase our solutions.
  • Aid in crafting compelling sales presentations and respond to RFQs.
  • Leverage CRM tools to enhance sales team productivity.

 

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Current enrollment in an undergraduate program, with an emphasis in sales, marketing, or other business related field.  
  • A strong inclination towards learning the power, energy and data center sectors.
  • Competitive spirit with a passion for learning and excelling in sales.
  • Must have exceptional communication and team collaboration skills.
  • Adaptability to a hybrid work environment (home and office) and digital communication tools is important.
  • Previous experience in sales or customer service is welcome, but not mandatory.
  • Phone etiquette skills required
  • Strong CRM and Microsoft Office/360 experience is a plus.
