Compensation Range: $92,700 To 124,000 Plus bonus 

Compensation may vary based on applicant's work experience, education level, skill set, and/or location.  

Job Purpose

As a Services Project & Construction Manager at EnerSys, you will lead complex field operations spanning broadband, telecom, and data center environments. This role ensures safe, high-quality, and on-time execution of both service and construction projects, including battery installations, power system upgrades, generator deployments, and infrastructure retrofits. You will work across cross-functional teams—engineering, sales, supply chain, and customers—to ensure project delivery aligns with scope, schedule, and budget expectations.
 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Project Planning & Management
Manage end-to-end project execution for service and construction jobs.
Develop and maintain project schedules, resource plans, and budgets.
Coordinate permitting, material procurement, and subcontractor mobilization.
Lead project kickoff, status, and closeout meetings with internal and external stakeholders.


Field Services & Technical Oversight
Oversee battery system replacements, power upgrades, and DC power plant work in telecom/data center environments.
Ensure crews follow safety protocols, site-specific procedures, and industry standards (NEC, NFPA 70E, OSHA).
Serve as a technical liaison between engineering, customer operations, and site technicians.
Troubleshoot installation issues and escalate critical system or site concerns.


Customer & Stakeholder Engagement
Act as primary point of contact for customers on project execution.
Deliver weekly project updates, manage change orders, and communicate delays proactively.
Coordinate closely with sales, operations, and product teams to align customer expectations.


Construction Leadership
Supervise construction crews and subcontractors across electrical and civil scopes.
Conduct field audits and QA/QC inspections for ongoing projects.
Manage RFI/submittal processes and track field progress vs. approved design.
Ensure worksite compliance with regulatory and environmental requirements.


Project Financial Management & Field Verification
Lead monthly financial reviews of assigned projects, ensuring alignment between % complete and % spent.
Maintain accurate cost tracking and revenue forecasting through EnerSys financial systems.
Visit job sites regularly to verify construction progress, field conditions, and spec compliance with service technicians.
Confirm and validate progress reporting for financial updates with real-time site observations.
Identify and resolve financial variances proactively through collaboration with field leads and finance teams.
Ensure labor, materials, subcontractor invoices, and project margins are updated accurately and timely.


Reporting & Continuous Improvement
Monitor project KPIs (margin, on-time delivery, safety) and implement corrective actions.
Contribute to lessons-learned feedback loops and process improvements.
Support adoption of project management tools and field reporting systems.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related technical field—or equivalent experience.
5+ years of experience managing service or construction projects in telecom, broadband, or data center markets.
Strong knowledge of power systems, battery technologies, and low-voltage electrical construction.
Proven ability to manage subcontractors, project financials, and multiple concurrent projects.
Experience with project management tools (MS Project, Smartsheet, or equivalent).
Valid driver's license; ability to travel up to 50%.

Preferred Qualifications

PMP, OSHA 30, or other project/construction safety certifications.
Familiarity with Tier-rated data centers, carrier-neutral telecom facilities, or MSO infrastructure.
Prior hands-on experience in DC power systems, battery maintenance, or infrastructure retrofit projects.
