Compensation Range: $24.56 To $30.76 

Compensation may vary based on applicant's work experience, education level, skill set, and/or location.  

Job Purpose

The Customer Service Specialist I manages customer accounts. They are
involved in the day-to-day coordination of customer activities, as well as 
addressing inquiries and resolves complaints. They will actively work to identify 
customer needs and meet or exceed those needs. The CSS I will coordinate 
with the Sales team to ensure customer questions, complaints, and requests are 
addressed timely and accurately while providing the most valued customer 
experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Coordinate cross-functionally to answer inquiries and resolve issues. 
• Stay current with customer requirements and service level agreements.
• Review orders entered for accuracy. 
• Participate in EOS (Enersys Operating System) activities and identify areas for 
process improvement.
• Run reports and monitor performance metrics.
• Exercise decision-making capabilities to resolve customer issues quickly and 
effectively.
• Liaise with accounts department in relation to customers with credit or 
invoice issues.
• Process all warranty claims and advise customer of outcomes.
• Coordinate with the Sales team to inform the Customer when delivery dates 
change.
• Coordinate or prepare shipping documents including detailing agreed onsite 
loading requirements.
• Coordinate and process returns, cancellations, and credit requests and gain 
appropriate approvals. 
• Prepare invoices for each product shipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
• 1-3 years account/customer service experience in a fast-paced office 
environment
• Competent computer skills in Microsoft Office
• Excellent customer service skills and have an outstanding phone manner
• Possess strong communication skills, as liaison with customers and internal 
stakeholders, is a large focus within the job
• Well organized and possess a high level of administration ability to effectively 
manage the complexity and order volumes
• Proficient in using ERP/MRP enterprise software packages
• Thrives as part of a team and collaborates with team members
Preferred Qualifications 
• Knowledge of SAP 
• Knowledge of INCO terms
• Experience with LEAN principles
• An understanding of manufacturing processes, production planning,
