This position will be focusing primarily on our Energy Systems line of business, which include telecommunications, IT, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), utilities and switchgear, security, emergency lighting and general electronics. Some of the reserve power brands include PowerSafe,DataSafe, and Genesis. Our extensive product range serves a variety of reserve power applications and consistently delivers the most effective, powerful and reliable batteries available.

 

Job Purpose

Join the ATS (Alpha Technologies Services) Project team, supporting today’s fast-moving digital world. EnerSys has an immediate need for a Field Supervisor for its growing Services Division. With a focus on customer service, this position provides operational oversight for all phases of the service project, including coordinating workers, materials, and equipment. The Field Supervisor typically supervises one or more projects ensuring that specifications and safety procedures are followed and that the work is proceeding on schedule and within budget.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee multiple projects from start to finish, developing and executing detailed project schedules and monitoring on-time delivery, revenue, and margin quality
  • Meet with customers to review project scope and timeline and create customer estimates and quotes, as needed
  • Maintain a close interface with the customer, project management office, and service group stakeholders, and other departments, regarding schedules, quality, and standards; schedule meetings, prepare materials, and draft minutes
  • Supervise all service representatives, subcontractors, vendors, and contractors for compliance to quality, safety, cost, and timeliness requirements
  • Draft method of procedure and statement of work documents
  • Create and transmit all kickoff and closeout documentation, floor plans, schematics, and specifications relevant to projects
  • Collaborate with design professionals, subject matter experts and other resources to ensure the timely and cost-effective completion of all projects
  • Supervise project change orders, and timely, accurate invoicing
  • Communicate change orders to the customer and/or management in a timely manner
  • Understand and implement customers’ standards of safety, installation quality, processes, and communication methods
  • Understand and enforce Enersys standards of professionalism, quality, safety, metrics, and processes Track all time, expenses, and report accurately, using the approved methods
  • Cultivate customer relationships, and identify new business opportunities

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • This position requires you to work at a customer site that mandates on-site personnel to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
  • 5 years industry related experience
  • 2 years prior supervisory experience
  • 5 plus years of previous customer service experience and experience in field support
  • Able to read, write, and comprehend the English language
  • Proficient computer knowledge of Microsoft office and internet
  • Able to perform basic math, adding, subtracting, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals Solid mechanical and electrical aptitude
  • Able to problem solve equations
  • College Degree preferred but will accept High school Diploma/GED with industry related experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Intermediate proficiency/understanding of CATV HFC Network infrastructure and design including network power, coax and fiber technology, splicing and repair.
  • Quality control of contract labor performing splicing/upgrade HFC Network devices
  • Able to perform routine and instruct HFC Network coax and fiber splicing
  • Intermediate proficiency/understanding of HFC Network system drawings, CAD drawings, Gantt charts, MS Project, Excel, and Visio
  • Advanced electrical and mechanical understanding
  • The use of test equipment and reading schematics
  • Experience with ERP/SAP a plus

General Job Requirements

  • Must be able and willing to do overnight travel
  • Must be able and willing to operate a forklift.
  • This position requires you to drive a company vehicle. Therefore, you must be able to pass the company’s driving requirements. Certain vehicles may also require a specific drivers license and have additional driving requirements.
  • Must be able to differentiate colors.
  • Must be able to frequently bend; twist; reach; stoop; kneel or crouch.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds/23 kilos on a daily continuous basis. Anything heavier will be done with the assistance of a mechanical device or with the assistance of another employee.
  • Must be able and willing to be on-call.
  • Must be able and willing to work varying schedules which may include nights, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Risk of electrical shock.
  • This position is exposed to harmful materials such as lead/fiberglass products. Periodic blood tests are required to measure the level of lead. Precautions are taken by the company/employee to reduce the risk of exposure and help ensure everyones safety.
