Job Purpose

Develop and direct the sales and service operations to meet or exceed the assigned goals for the geographic area

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Exercising discretion and independent judgment when dealing with critical matters within the organization
  • Superior understanding of product lines being sold
  • Responsible for territory expansion
  • Leading staff on the promotion of products, networking understanding competitor products and activities
  • Hiring, retaining, evaluating, and improving sales leaders and their sales representatives (including personal development plans for each business line sales leader)
  • Working with manufacturing reps and distributors
  • Creating and implementing sales processes and metrics to ensure the continuous improvement of those processes
  • Evaluate markets and products to ensure the timely adjustment of marketing strategy and product plans to meet changing market and competitive conditions
  • Direct selling processes; including identification of new customers ad sales channel management
  • Create and execute sales strategies
  • Maintaining relationships with established customers
  • Profit and loss responsibilities including; sales forecasting, margin tracking, managing costs
  • Supervising sales staff
  • Direct the selling and marketing process
  • Analyzing issues and being able to offer solutions to customers
  • Sales territory size could vary
  • Extensive travel is involved
  • Other duties as assigned


This position includes supervisory responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree with 10-12 years of experience in sales and management
  • Extensive sales experience
  • Ability to understand and explain technical and electrical related systems
  • Outstanding presentation and written and oral communication skills
  • Must have the ability to understand and explain technical electrical systems


Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters degree preferred
  • Technical background
  • Battery experience

General Job Requirements

  • This position will work in an office setting, expect minimal physical demands.
  • Must be able and willing to work overtime.
  • Must be able and willing to be on-call.
