Compensation Range: 43,900-54,900

Job Purpose

The Warehouse Technician is responsible for supporting warehouse operations by handling, storing, and shipping industrial batteries, power systems, and related components. This role requires accuracy, adherence to safety protocols, and efficient execution of daily tasks. The Warehouse Technician works collaboratively with team members and supports continuous improvement in warehouse processes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

⦁    Perform daily receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping functions.
⦁    Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
⦁    Assist with inventory control activities, including cycle counts and recordkeeping in the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and ERP software.
⦁    Follow all safety, environmental, and hazardous material handling regulations (DOT, OSHA, HAZMAT).
⦁    Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy and condition.
⦁    Maintain clean and organized work areas to support efficiency and safety.
⦁    Report damaged goods, discrepancies, or safety hazards to supervision.
⦁    Assist in maintaining warehouse equipment in proper working condition.
⦁    Participate in required training programs for safety and handling of industrial batteries and power equipment.
⦁    Support teamwork by assisting colleagues with tasks as needed to meet operational requirements.

Qualifications

⦁    High school diploma or GED required.
⦁    1–3 years of warehouse or material-handling experience preferred.
⦁    Basic knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory practices, and shipping/receiving.
⦁    Forklift certification preferred (training available if not currently certified).
⦁    Familiarity with WMS, ERP systems, or barcode scanning technology preferred.
⦁    Ability to read and understand shipping documents, labels, and safety guidelines.
⦁    Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.Accuracy and attention to detail

Working Conditions

⦁    Full-time position in a warehouse environment handling industrial batteries and power systems.
⦁    Exposure to heavy equipment, battery chemicals, and varying temperatures.
⦁    Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required at all times.
⦁    May require overtime, weekends, or shift flexibility to meet business needs.

General Job Requirements

  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
  • Must be able to frequently bend; twist; reach; stoop; kneel or crouch.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds/23 kilos on a daily continuous basis. Anything heavier will be done with the assistance of a mechanical device or with the assistance of another employee.
  • Must be able and willing to operate a forklift.
  • This position is exposed to harmful materials such as lead/fiberglass products. Periodic blood tests are required to measure the level of lead. Precautions are taken by the company/employee to reduce the risk of exposure and help ensure everyones safety.
  • This position requires working in a plant/warehouse environment. Therefore, expect varying working conditions.
  • Employees are responsible for wearing the required Personal Protective Equipment in the proper manner at all times.
  • Must be able and willing to work overtime.
