Job Purpose

In this role you will have responsibility for understanding the application of all electronics and accessories used with both Legacy and Maintenance free products.  This will require building a deep technical understanding of these products and how they work with our customers equipment, OEM equipment, and our own products.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. You will also become involved in the validation of our products with OEMs
  2. You will serve as an escalation point for Warranty and Service issues that can’t be solved by our Field Service team (before we escalate to Product Engineering)
  3. These products will include chargers, WiiQ and all data products (Xinx, Truck iQ, etc.), CAN systems, cabling, etc.
  4. In collaboration with product managers, translate requirements into specs that engineering/design will consume & collaborate with them on developing it
  5. Work with Mechanical Applications Engineering to ensure we have reliable, saleable products that can be manufactured effectively and quickly
  6. Build trustworthy relationships with stakeholders and the product org
  7. Work in an agile environment with engineers, designers and researchers to build product in an iterative manner
  8. Over time be regarded as a trusted partner to both stakeholders and your product team

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 5-7+ years of experience as a mechatronix or electro-mechanical engineer
  • Ability to communicate effectively both in written and verbal communication
  • Ability to manage other engineers effectively in a team setting to achieve aggressive goals using lean processes
  • You will also need to verify quality of their work and help them grow in their skills and abilities
  • Ability to thrive in an environment where this is much ambiguity up front in understanding the business problem.
  • You can build consensus and alignment but are not afraid to push ahead when there remain some critics
  • Technical fluency, including an ability to clearly describe tradeoffs between Sales, marketing, manufacturing, and engineering partners
  • A master of organization and prioritization who has the ability to triage multiple initiatives with a strong ability to focus team efforts on tackling the right problems at the right time
  • Proficiency in English and French languages
