Job Purpose

The software test engineer works on automating the testing of the various components of a software system. He/she also takes part in drawing up test plans, applies these plans and reports the results. He/she is also in charge of writing up the test plan and results in accordance with the provisions set up by the software test manager

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Discussions with the development team to determine the list of test parameters,
  • Designs and develops scripts to automate test execution,
  • Follows and applies test automation recommendations,
  • Contributes actively with the software validation manager to setting up the technical chain for test automation,
  • For each product, write test plans and create the associated test cases,
  • Identifies and reports any anomalies found during execution of the test plan,
  • Streamline test procedures,
  • Writes final QA reports and test procedures for quality technicians,
  • Ensures that all test procedures comply with company and industry standards,
  • Ensures consistent software system performance through daily monitoring: periodic execution of validation scripts guarantees non-regression,
  • Documents and manages test results and establishes steps for resolving any problems encountered,

 

Additional Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Analyze technologies used within the company and develop processes to improve testing procedures,
  • Master the process of properly documenting test cases, and create efficient, specialized test plans (for sub-products, domains, etc.),
  • Provides detailed specifications for the proposed solutions, identifying the functional scope and the time required,
  • Define clear objectives for the elements to be tested and develop the various steps required to achieve them,
  • Regularly informs the software validation manager of the progress of work in progress,
  • Works closely with different teams to understand and capture their testing needs

  • Supporting proof-of-concept for new technologies and solutions.
  • Oversee the preparation and review of documentation.
  • Apply industry-standard methodologies and frameworks.

Qualifications / Experience

Degree and/or level of experience:

  • IT engineer with ISTQB,  + 3 years' experience preferred.

Required professional knowledge

HSE Knowledge of ISO 14001 and 45001 standards

Quality Knowledge of ISO 90001 standards

Continuous improvement (EOS) Knowledge of tools

Communication / Information / Animation :

  • Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to present work both orally and in writing,
  • Fluency in written and spoken English

Others :

  • Azure DevOps (Test plan, ...)
  • Unit testing framework,
  • Gherkins (Test scenarios)
  • Graphical interface testing (Web, mobile)
