Job Purpose

Azure DevOps will be the key stone of our software factory. All of our projects from embedded to Cloud including mobile apps will be managed with this tool.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Building and setting up new development tools and infrastructure
  • Understanding the needs of stakeholders and conveying this to developers  
  • Working on ways to automate and improve development and release processes
  • Testing and examining code written by others and analyzing results
  • Ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats
  • Identifying technical problems and developing software updates and “fixes”
  • Working with software developers and software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended 
  • Planning our projects and being involved in project management decisions
  • Defining documentations templates to manage wiki as code in each project
  • Designing and maintain build and release pipelines across our 3 Azure subscriptions (dev, staging and production)
  • Teaching the best practices for semantic versioning to the dev teams and accountants
  • Defining the different stage gates for all the pipelines
  • Defining the best practices to work in agile mode
  • Building report generation tools (changelog…)
  • Designing dashboards to report to the hierarchy
  • Working hand in hand with our Security engineer to define the best way to handle credentials, PAT…in pipelines
  • Finding and install the best extensions for Azure DevOps to improve our software factory
  • Integrating 3rd party software to grant a high and industrial level of quality for deliveries
