Compensation Range: 121,000 to 160,000
Compensation may vary based on applicant's work experience, education level, skill set, and/or location.
Job Purpose
Under general supervision, responsible for the systems engineering part of a major project, or an entire project of high level of complexity. Performs engineering work and applied research, development, and design of new products. Be able to mentor and to provide technical supervision to lower-level engineers and other technical personnel and may be responsible for the administrative duties of a small work group. #BEL
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Technical project leader and team player
- Review and help finalize product requirements early in the project development and communicate requirements to project team
- Decompose product requirements into finished system and subsystem technical requirements
- Drive technical solutions to optimize electrical/electronic system designs
- Problem solving throughout the development process
- Create test plans, review test results, and create test reports
- Assure demonstrated compliance from the project team to fulfill all technical requirements
- Assist in determining project schedules and budget requirements
- Effective oral and written communication
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering
Minimum 10 years electrical power design experience
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
Working knowledge with MRP and/or PLM systems and Bills of Material structure
Intermediate proficiency in schematic capture and PCB layout software (Altium preferred)
Basic proficiency in mechanical CAD software (SolidWorks preferred)
Working knowledge with standard electrical test equipment (multi-meters, O-scope, electronic power sources and loads, etc.…)
Basic knowledge of CATV network
Experience working with DOCSIS modems
Experience working with battery-based systems and associated charging methods
Experience designing wire harnesses
