This position will be focusing primarily on our Energy Systems line of business, which include telecommunications, IT, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), utilities and switchgear, security, emergency lighting and general electronics. Some of the reserve power brands include PowerSafe,DataSafe, and Genesis. Our extensive product range serves a variety of reserve power applications and consistently delivers the most effective, powerful and reliable batteries available.


Job Purpose

We are looking for a college graduate with an enthusiasm for learning more about the stored energy industry. This position creates go-to-market product launch strategies that build market share by effectively applying our unique technologies toward measurable customer benefits.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support product launch programs for core strategic products into both domestic and international markets
  • Develop metrics to track measurable results relating to market penetration
  • Influence product messaging and work with marketing to deliver through literature development, trade-show displays, website development and technical user manuals
  • Stay abreast of relevant market intelligence and changing market technology needs and customer trends
  • Influence new product plans and technical attributes, and assist in product development plans in conjunction with product management and engineering teams
  • Assist in developing selling channel training tools that influence competitive positioning and buying decisions
  • Participate in strategic account support including tradeshows and on-site customer visits
  • Assist in identifying OEM suppliers for product technologies being Alpha branded and/or resold and integrated where appropriate
  • Innovate ideas for new product feature improvements for added customer value


Minimum Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, mathematics, business or technical field
  • Experience analyzing data
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Budget and cost analysis experience
  • Proven track record in leading teams
  • Excellent organizational skills, such as time and project management and prioritizing


Desirable Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in Engineering, Computer Science or Technical Marketing or Business
  • Experience in relevant fields including cable television industry
