Job Purpose

The SAP Financial Systems Analyst will be responsible for supporting and working with the business to ensure successful rollout of SAP-related finance functions throughout the Americas. The Financial Systems Analyst will also interact with the SAP Program team and functional unit process owners in order to identify, define, document and configure / process solutions in/around SAP. 

It is imperative for this resource to drive consistency in the implementation of systems and best practices and understand LEAN methodologies. This position will involve working across all lines of business and will require solid communication skills, the ability to build relationships and drive a consistent agenda.  The ability to work in a fast paced team atmosphere effectively is critical. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Knowledge of accounting related to Manufacturing including:

  • GAAP
  • Standard Costing
  • Accounts Payable
  • Accounts Receivables
  • General Ledger Reporting and Reconciliation
  • Purchase Price and Manufacturing Variances
  • US Sales Tax
  • SOX Controls and Requirements
  • Maintain and configure SAP FICO modules to meet business requirements in accordance with the Change Management Process
  • Works with cross-functional groups in the program to identify and develop solutions to business issues and opportunities within SAP FICO.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels of the business. Work with the business transformation team to ensure that business changes are being made to drive improvements through the organization in alignment with SAP.
  • Document development requirements in RICEFW to communicate business requirements to Technical Team.
  • Work with other System Analysts to review, design, test and validate FICO integration points across all SAP modules and external applications.
  • Create and maintain business process mapping to document process improvements, communicate process changes or identify process gaps.
  • Must also have a willingness to test processes and work to organize user acceptance testing of the SAP system.
  • As required, provides daily support and troubleshooting to the user community on the use and best practices of the FICO modules.
  • Supports SAP ECC upgrades and testing.
  • Supports and helps develop FICO power users within the business.
  • As part of the Enersys SAP team, duties will also include monitoring the SAP helpdesk queue and assisting users. 
  • Interfaces with external Analysts for third level support as necessary to deliver service to the business.
  • Possesses the ability to organize activities, set priorities and handle multiple tasks.
  • Support needed audit and compliance efforts.
  • Other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: May be asked to lead small ad-hoc cross-functional teams focused on specific deliverables

Education and/or Experience
Requires BS degree in Computer Science, Finance or related area of study.  
Strong SAP FICO knowledge, experience and best practice
Strong background in financial operations and processes.   
5+ years of working experience SAP FICO Analyst.
Proven experience structuring frameworks/approaches to complex problem-solving experience in LEAN processes is strongly preferred

Language Skills
Effective communication skills:  Oral, written and listening.

Reasoning Ability
Analytical skills to be able to quickly identify and resolve problems. Ability to analyze data, resources, and schedules to make decisions that affect a project on a regular basis.
