This position will be focusing primarily on our Energy Systems line of business, which include telecommunications, IT, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), utilities and switchgear, security, emergency lighting and general electronics. Some of the reserve power brands include PowerSafe,DataSafe, and Genesis. Our extensive product range serves a variety of reserve power applications and consistently delivers the most effective, powerful and reliable batteries available.
Role Overview
The Carpenter will work on the construction and manufacture of Shelters and Special Projects.
Main Responsibilities
- Mentor and lead laborers on set tasks
- Perform mechanical works using hand / power tools to construct and manufacture shelters, special projects, skids, trailers etc.
- Assist in the QA on shelters, trailers, skids, special projects
- Clean and detail shelters, special projects
- Pack and secure materials for transport
- Carry out work in all areas of production where required (pre-manufacture , specials)
- Perform on site works where required
- Perform deliveries and pickups where required
- Perform daily housekeeping
- Other duties as required by the business
Ideal Candidate
- Experience in building or electrical trades
- Able to communicate well with all staff in the workplace on matters relating to work performed, and Health, Safety and Environment
- Commitment to completion of work to required standards
- Good communication, literacy and numeracy skills
- Basic skills in: Problem solving, Organisation, Communication & interpersonal skills, and Computer literacy – Microsoft Office / Windows environment
- Ability to prioritise workload
- Ability to work as part of a team, with or without supervision
- Completion of Year 10
