Compensation Range: $20.50-$22.50

Job Purpose

As a Warehouse Material Handler at Bren-Tronics, part of EnerSys and a manufacture of advanced portable power solutions, receive, store and distribute material, tools, equipment and products within the warehouse, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all job functions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Assist shipping by unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders to sales orders and distributing to sales associates for processing.
Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered or distributed and/or shipped.
Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas.
Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as type, size, style, color or product code.
File requisitions, work orders or requests for materials, tools or other stock items and distribute items to shipping or to designated route driver storage area.
Ensure warehouse is accessible and safe for salespeople and customer traffic.
Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves, or relocate orders to a holding area or shipping department.
Mark materials with identifying information using appropriate method.
Open bales, crates and other containers.
Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed via Visual Program.
Assist in counting of physical inventory.
Weigh and count items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards.
Operates Forklift and various moving equipment.

Qualifications

High School Diploma
2+ years of experience as a Warehouse Material Handler
Forklift experience preferred
Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Strong attention to detail and accuracy

General Job Requirements

Must be able to frequently bend; twist; reach; stoop; kneel or crouch.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds/23 kilos on a daily continuous basis. Anything heavier will be done with the assistance of a mechanical device or with the assistance of another employee.
Must be able to stand for long periods of time
This position requires working in a plant/warehouse environment. Therefore, expect varying working conditions.
Employees are responsible for wearing the required Personal Protective Equipment in the proper manner at all times.
Must be able and willing to operate a forklift.
