Job Purpose
Responsible for maintaining accurate inventory, material, and production records within the plant ERP system. Coordinates and executes inventory and manufacturing transactions, work-order administration, inventory reconciliation, cycle counting, and material traceability activities to ensure ERP records accurately reflect physical inventory and production activity. Partners with Production, Purchasing, Quality, Warehouse, and Finance to investigate and resolve inventory and transaction discrepancies while maintaining compliance with applicable AS9100, ISO 13485, customer, and site requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Executes timely and accurate ERP transactions associated with the receipt, issue, transfer, consumption, completion, and authorized adjustment of materials and inventory.
- Creates, releases, updates, and closes production/work orders in the ERP system in accordance with established procedures.
- Maintains accurate ERP records for inventory quantities, locations, lot/batch information, material status, and other applicable inventory-control data.
- Monitors open work orders and outstanding material transactions to ensure production activity is accurately reflected in the ERP system.
- Performs inventory reconciliations and investigates variances between physical inventory and ERP balances, including transaction research and resolution of discrepancies.
- Coordinates cycle counts and physical inventory activities, including count preparation, variance investigation, reconciliation, and documentation.
- Coordinates with Production, Purchasing, Quality and Finance to resolve ERP, inventory, work-order, and material transaction issues.
- Maintains records and performs transactions in accordance with site procedures and applicable AS9100 and ISO 13485 requirements.
- Supports internal and external audits by retrieving ERP records and demonstrating material and transaction traceability.
Qualifications
- Education and/or Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required, with a minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience in an inventory control, material control, or production support role performing inventory and manufacturing transactions in an ERP/MRP system.
- Language Skills:
- Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Mathematical Skills:
- Ability to perform inventory-related calculations and analyze quantities, variances, usage, counts, and other inventory data.
- Reasoning Ability:
- Ability to investigate inventory and transaction discrepancies, identify potential causes, evaluate available information, and determine or escalate appropriate corrective action.
- Computer Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365. Knowledge of Baan ERP is preferred.
