Job Purpose

We are seeking a versatile and hands-on Test & Field Support Engineer to join our team. This unique role combines in-house testing and validation with on-site customer support as needed, ensuring smooth application of the solution, troubleshooting, and resolution of challenges to customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate thrives in both technical lab environments and customer-facing assignments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Testing Engineering (On-Site & In-House) Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, execute, and document test procedures for prototypes, products, systems, and components.
  • Troubleshoot test failures, analyze data, and support engineering with root-cause investigations.
  • Define, sustain, perform system-level testing, calibration, validation, and acceptance testing.
  • Assist with new product introduction (NPI) testing, fixture evaluations, and process creation.
  • Assist with production fixture creation and continued process improvement.
  • Maintain test equipment, tools, and documentation.

Customer-Facing Field Support Key Responsibilities:

  • Travel to customer sites to perform training, testing, or troubleshooting.
  • Provide technical support including diagnostics, troubleshooting, repairs, and adjustments.
  • Conduct customer training sessions on operation, maintenance, and functionality of our products and solutions.
  • Act as a technical liaison between customers and internal engineering team.
  • Document field activities through service reports, test logs, and customer feedback.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, Manufacturing, or related field.
  • Hands-on experience with testing, troubleshooting, or technical support.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and test documentation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical/electrical aptitude.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Willingness to travel and work independently on customer sites.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to pass travel requirements (passport eligibility if needed).

 Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in field service, commissioning, or customer technical support roles.
  • Familiarity with power electronics or power systems.
  • Familiarity with single and three phase power
  • Strong documentation skills (test reports, field logs, customer summaries).

General Job Requirements

  • Must be able to frequently bend; twist; reach; stoop; kneel or crouch.
  • Must be able to differentiate colors.
  • This position requires working in a plant/warehouse environment. Therefore, expect varying working conditions.
