Compensation Range: $74,000 - $92,300

Job Purpose

Our EnerSys/ABSL operation based in Longmont, CO is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing, implementing, and optimizing cutting-edge manufacturing processes for the production of state-of-the-art Lithium-Ion batteries. You will work closely with a dynamic team on the front lines of space component technology and have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on our programs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

•   Reviewing flight hardware drawings to ensure design for manufacturability and compliance with internal and external standards.
•   Supporting new design programs and providing input to complex manufacturing issues.
•   Generating assembly work instructions for complex tasks.
•   Preparing and making revision changes to manufacturing documentation and processes to improve product quality and procedures.
•   Designing, developing, and implementing manufacturing tooling for battery builds and associated systems.
•   Providing CAD drafting and design support for manufacturing.

Qualifications

Required

0- 2 years of manufacturing work experience.
Bachelor’s Degree in technical discipline such as Engineering (Electrical, Aerospace, or Mechanical preferred), Math, or Physics.

Preferred

SolidWorks/CAD drafting and design experience.
Experience with spot welding processes.
Experience working with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) for work instruction authoring (Aegis Factory Logix).
Experience with Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) equipment (mills, pick and place machines, robots, 3D printers).
Experience working in clean room environments and under ESD protections.
Familiarity with NASA standards and aerospace manufacturing practices.
Previous work in an AS9100 facility.
