Job Purpose
The Website Manager will be responsible for the management of projects and activities that ensure delivery of a high-performing website to deliver compelling experiences for our prospects and customers to achieve our business goals. They will provide platform and technical leadership to compliment business strategy and direction from a global and cross departmental content community.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Strategy Manage and own the strategy for the corporate website and web presence, including their role in the wider digital strategy. That web presence includes smaller individual sites that exist for specific reasons. The strategy needs to consider their consolidation (or not) to deliver our strategic, brand and functional goals with a first rate customer experience. It should be developed and shared with stakeholders through a documented roadmap.
Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary liaison between CX/IT, the content community and various stakeholders. Ensure regular communication through appropriate means and channels so stakeholders are actively engaged.
Website Management: Planning, implementing, managing, monitoring, and upgrading the organization's website. Oversee the day-to-day maintenance and administration of the website
Web Development: Coordinate, manage and execute ongoing website development projects for marketing groups and the wider content community in partnership with internal resources and external agencies. Listen to the functional and visual communication needs of the content community and deliver the technical capability to realise those needs. Coordinate with other digital platform owners for consistency and seamless transitions to support the customer journey. Manage a backlog of requirements in line with the roadmap
Security: Work with the IT infrastructure and security team to implement best practices for the design and maintenance of a secure 05/10/23 website and integrations. Ensure fast identification and response to all website security breaches. Minimise the risk of downtime or poor performance globally, and keep the website's domain and hosting registration current
Customer Journey, UX, UI: Define the targeted visitor personas and define the role that website plays in the customer journey(s) with the CX team. Utilise feedback tools to design and improve the UX and UIs with the content community. Work with the content community to ensure a consistent implementation of the digital brand guidelines. Support the content community with the creation of website content with agreed templates, blocks and features that they can utilise and supports the UX and UI goals.
Monitoring and Analytics: Work with the EnerSys Digital Strategic Analyst to utilise feedback from the platform provider and third-party applications to monitor the performance of the website and deliver improvements to meet service levels and business goals. Design and track appropriate KPIs that drive engagement growth that meets business needs. Faciliate and support growth strategies developed with LoBs, departments and the wider content community
Data, Tech Stack and Integrations: Work with the Functional Integration, Enterprise Architecture and CRM leads to ensure consistency with data, integrations and other applications
Qualifications
- A university degree, relevant qualification, or substantial experience in managing corporate websites ideally B2B and B2C.
- Extensive experience in one or more enterprise-level CMS platforms ideally Optimizely (EPiServer).
- Extensive experience in owning, maintaining and developing a content management system (preferably with experience using Optimizely CMS)
- Strong knowledge of SEO best practice and platforms to support optimisation such as SEMRush.
- Demonstrable examples of defining, implementing and continuously enhancing and adapting a website strategy that deliver business benefits
- Experience of working closely with a diverse range of stakeholders to best meet user and business needs.
- Have clear communication, message simplification and presentation skills and the ability to influence and drive decision-making.
- Ability to clearly capture and confirm stakeholder needs
- Experience of facilitating effective problem solving with varied stakeholders
- Experience of admin level ownership of tools and CMS platforms.
- Solid understanding of Google analytics/ web analytics tools and using insights to make data led decisions.
- Experience on identifying, assessing, commissioning and managing 3rd party supplier
- A good understanding of HTML, CSS coding and understanding of java functions.
- Experience working with reporting and analytics tools such as Looker Studio, Microsoft Power BI, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Console and web experimentation tools
- Experience in delivering successful A/B testing and Conversion Rate Optimisation techniques
- Experienced in managing a team of both content editors and backend developers
- Well organized and ability to work on multiple tasks at a time, with an adaptable and collaborative approach.
- English mandatory and knowledge of French, Spanish or German languages would be highly desirable
