This position will be focusing primarily on our Motive Power applications, which include industrial lift trucks and pallet jacks, rail equipment, mining equipment, and airline ground support equipment. Some of the motive power brands include Hawker, Ironclad, General Battery, and Fiamm. Wherever there is a need for motive power, EnerSys offers the perfect energy solution.

 

Job Purpose

Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Quality Engineer is responsible for implementing and maintaining quality standards throughout all process of the plant. The QE will conduct activities related to audits, Correct Actions, Root Cause Analysis, customer claims, and other activities. The position supports the operations departments by analyzing quality data and tracking performance trends.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

•    Responsible for CAPA, quality system implementation and Maintenance.
•    In Process inspection, data analysis, Root Cause Analysis, 5 why process
•    Supports ISO 9000: 2015 Internal Audit process
•    Coordinates, Corrective action process - CAR system.
•    Supports APQP Process
•    Responds to customer claims.
•    Maintains quality Databases and Trend Charts.
•    Supports BAAN, BOM and Drawing reviews.
•    Maintains Calibration Lists and coordinates with external vendors to keep up to date records.
•    Train other team members on quality principles and tasks
•    Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: A four year degree in a technical or quality related field or at least 8 years of experience in quality control in a manufacturing environment. 
Preferred Qualifications: A four year technical degree or Master’s degree and at least 5 years of experience in a quality position in a manufacturing environment.  

Preferred Skills and Experience

•    ASQ/Certified Quality Auditor
•    ASQ/Certified Quality Process Analyst
•    ASQ/Certified Six Sigma Yellow, Green and/or Black Belt
•    ASQ/Certified ISO 9001-2015 Internal Auditor
•    Experience with 5S principles
•    Lean Manufacturing Experience
•    SAP Experience
