Job Purpose

This is a DOD SkillBridge internship opportunity with a duration of 150 days.  You must be a US Military Servicemember on active duty to apply (USA, USAF, USN, USMC, USSF, USCG) .This is a military transitional program that does not provide compensation through EnerSys.

This will be onsite at our Pinellas Park, Florida location.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Test thermal batteries and assemblies following methods, procedures, standards and sequences.
  2. Maintain test records and data according to procedures and engineering requirements.
  3. Lay out and assemble product and electronic equipment according to designs and specifications
  4. Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, test and maintain equipment, components, devices and systems.
  5. Modify product and electronic equipment by adding, removing or altering components as defined by predetermined diagrams, sketches and procedures.
  6. Correct malfunctions by making adjustments or replacing parts or components
  7. Use hand and small power tools and various measuring and testing devices
  8. Monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control devices
  9. Communicate well with members of engineering department and plant personnel
  10. Familiarity with LabVIEW and dynamic/climatic test system software

 

Qualifications

  • Must be a current Active Duty Servicemember
  • Must be separating from the Military in 4-12 months
  • Must be able to complete the duration of the 150 days program
  • Must be able to complete 40 hours per week
  • Willingness to learn from others on the job

  • This position requires working in a plant/warehouse environment. Therefore, expect varying working conditions.
