Job Title:  DOD Skillbridge Facilities Maintenance Intern

Job Purpose

This is a DOD SkillBridge internship opportunity.  You must be a US Military Servicemember on active duty to apply (USA, USAF, USN, USMC, USSF, USCG) . This is a military transitional program that does not provide compensation through EnerSys.

This position will be onsite at our location in Pinellas Park, Florida

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Follow all prescribed safety practices and industry standards when performing work assignments
2. Works with subcontractors to complete building and equipment maintenance tasks
3. Maintain operating conditions of buildings and equipment, and complete all repairs
4. Use preventative maintenance scheduling software to perform and/or ensure regularly scheduled equipment maintenance
5. Follow blueprints, schematics and drawings in the diagnosis and repair of equipment
6. Utilize knowledge of fundamental mechanical, electrical, carpentry, plumbing, heating and cooling skills
7. Repairs and maintains heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems
8. Performs diagnosis, repairs and maintains equipment by performing electrical/electronic/mechanical work
9. Installs and repairs wiring, fixtures, machinery or other electrical devices by performing electrical work at a journeyman level
10. Installs, maintains and repairs plumbing systems and fixtures

Qualifications

• Must be a current Active Duty Servicemember
• Must be separating from the Military in 4-12 months
• Must be able to complete a minimum of 150 hours in internship
• Must be able to complete 40 hours per week
• Willingness to learn from others on the job
