Job Purpose

Under the direction of the VP of Global Procurement, the CapEx will administer all activities associated with the procurement of capital equipment and their and their related services in a cost effective, high quality and timely manner to ensure optimum bottom line results using honest, fair and ethical business practices.  This position has global responsibilities, and as such must effectively communicate with our manufacturing facilities, product and process engineering and legal departments, as well as the providers of equipment that support our global footprint of manufacturing locations, to ensure the procurement of equipment and services that are delivered on a timely manner, perform as promised and meet our budgetary objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Work closely with product, process and plant engineering and the legal department to develop purchase specifications that ensure effective communication of both performance expectations for equipment and commercial terms and conditions aimed to mitigate risk
  • Source potential equipment suppliers and assess their capabilities.
  • Establishes and fosters relationships with equipment providers to ensure attainment of organization objectives while establishing a competitive bidding environment
  • Solicit RFP’s and RFQ’s, analyze results and present to internal customers and decision makers
  • In cooperation with the legal department, negotiate and administer contracts for the purchase of Capex expenditures
  • Proactively explores new equipment technologies and processing methods for continuous improvements in manufacturing equipment aimed at producing
  • Collects and publishes historical data relating to Capex purchases
  • Monthly reporting activities to include, but not limited to, preparation of activity reports, status of implementation projects and expenditure updates
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Individual should be highly motivated and committed to professional standards and performance.
  • Must be well versed in all aspects of contracts and contract administration

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Purchasing or Engineering, with at least 3 years of experience in the procurement of Capex, or at least 10 years of professional experience with the procurement of Capex in a dynamic manufacturing environment




An initial period of extensive travel to our global manufacturing sites will be expected to allow the position to thoroughly learn the business. After this initial period, travel will decrease to a moderate schedule of approximately (20%)
