Job Purpose

As a Corporate HR Business Partner Intern, you will have the opportunity to engage in impactful short-term projects that provide you with a glimpse of professional real-world experience. You will gain practical skills through on-the-job learning in a fast-paced work environment and develop a deeper understanding of your career interests. In this role, you will primarily support the Corporate HR team by assisting with strategic HR initiatives, improving process efficiency, modernizing traditional ways of working and partnering with business leaders to drive employee engagement.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist the HR Business Partner team with daily administrative operations, participating in onboarding process, inputting HR system records, answering general HR questions, responding to ad-hoc requests and other corporate initiatives as needed.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with the entire HR team to understand areas of process improvement and develop ideas and materials (i.e. orientation, employee engagement, personnel files and other document retention processes, etc.).
- Assist with process documentation, project management, program coordination, on matters such as orientation, HR database and employee record maintenance, employee engagement, etc.
- Understand the company HR policies and support AI initiatives around modernizing the delivery of such policies (i.e. manager and employee self-service).
- Work on assigned projects related to Human Resources, including conducting research on HR-related best practices and initiatives, collecting data, creating reports/white papers, providing recommendations, and assisting with developing new HR programs.
- Prepare, draft, and finalize communication plans, SOPs, presentations, and employee engagement materials.
- Improve overall employee experience by creating, supporting and promoting community engagement efforts (United Way, Patriot 5k, etc.)
Qualifications
- Undergraduate or Postgraduate currently pursuing a Degree/Master’s in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related fields.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proactive and willing to take on challenges.
- Responsible and positive work attitude with good abilities to deal with challenging tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Passion for modernizing learning experiences with fresh, engaging approaches.
