Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Under the general direction of the Director of EOS, VP of Investor Relations and Communications and Senior Director of FP&A.  The Finance Intern assists with various accounting reconciliations, reporting, projects and other operational needs of the Accounting and Budget divisions. Other duties for Finance may be assigned as needed. This is a part-time, limited duration internship position.

Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

Accounting and FP&A

  • Assists Finance Department with reconciliations and special projects as assigned.
  • Assists the costing team in the monthly consolidation of results, analysis of costing variances; gathers and compiles financial, and technical information from departments, schedules meetings, compiles materials, and other clerical duties as assigned.
  • Participate in monthly financial reporting tasks
  • Support analysis of financial data and identifying trends
  • Collaborate cross functionally with other departments
  • Supports the team on Company/departmental level special projects.  Projects may range from process improvement, standardization, documentation, and integration.
  • Responds to various ad-hoc financial reporting requests.

Investor Relations

  • Supports IR during earnings periods:  compiles peer earnings dates and headlines, compiles peer earnings call commentary and identifies common themes or analyst questions, helps update and edit slides for the investor relations deck, confirms that numbers match between the earnings release, deck, and script .
  • Assists with the launch of the new IR website: gathers and compiles required information, reviews content to ensure consistency and accuracy between old and new versions, tests navigation to ensure a seamless transition.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENT:  This role requires no travel.

 

Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Final stages of completing requirements for high school diploma
  • Interest in business / accounting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must have authorization to work in the United States.
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 at time of application or graduation preferred.

Knowledge of:

Personal computers, Excel, Word, Adobe applications


Skills:

  • Analytical thinking.
  • Ability to comprehend and describe trends reflected in charts and graphs.
  • Communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Good organizational skills
  • Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with co-workers

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: Not required for role.
