Job Purpose

The Regional Compliance Analyst will ensure regulatory compliance within the scope of the Logistics Department, also in coordination with all other functional divisions.  This includes suggesting business process improvements, providing training and staying up to date with compliance regulations belonging to the Americas.

This position will work as a hybrid work setting at the Corporate Headquarters in Reading, PA but may be subject to change.  Expect minimal physical demands.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. A primary duty is to exercise discretion and independent judgment when dealing with critical matters within the Logistics department
2. Supporting Sr Logistics Manager in implementing and maintaining Trade Compliance standards and procedures
3. Maintaining strong lines of communication with Accounting, Legal, Procurement, Plants, Distribution Centers, business units, key customer groups and other relevant departments. 
4. Researching industry compliance regulations and policies 
5. Evaluate internal operational and procedural compliance
6. Research and determination of HTS and country of origin product codes with the association functional divisions within Enersys 
7. Establish and performs the standard work to Pre and Post Entry process for imports
8. Develop, establish, and monitors adherence to standard work for exports – including, but not limited to, USMCA, COO and other shipping documentation
9. Maintain and develop compliance programs including but not limited to CTPAT, Reconciliation, Duty Drawback, and ISA

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience
• High School diploma.
• College Diploma and/or equivalent 
• Ideal candidate will have at least 2+ years’ experience in compliance related field.  

Language Skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Computer Skills 
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
• Knowledge of an ERP system 

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
• Ability to get Certified: 49CFR, IATA, IMDG; current active Hazmat Certification a plus

  • Strong analytical abilities
  • Must have excellent oral and written communications skills, with the ability to communicate professionally and effectively both internal and external organizations
  • Ability to formulate compliance policies, procedures, and related documents
  • Knowledge in financial field
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize time sensitive situations in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to learn and regularly operate various computer systems across different platforms
  • Ability to develop and maintain lasting relationship with stake holders
  • Highly motivated and committed to professional standards and performance
  • Must be organized and proficient in time management

 

TRAVEL REQUIRED: Potentially project related travel required both domestically and internationally
