Job Purpose

EnerSys is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Nuclear Battery Program Coordinator to support the execution and growth of our Nuclear Battery Program. The successful candidate will serve as a central point of coordination across multiple functional teams, ensuring that program deliverables, customer requirements, quality documentation, schedules, and project milestones are effectively managed and communicated.

This individual must possess strong project management skills, a process-oriented mindset, and the ability to work collaboratively with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Procurement, Supply Chain, Sales, and Applications Engineering teams. Experience working within regulated industries such as nuclear, utility, aerospace, defense, medical, or other highly controlled environments is highly desirable.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Program Management & Coordination

  • Support the day-to-day execution of strategic nuclear battery projects and customer programs.
  • Maintain project schedules, action item logs, risk registers, and milestone tracking.
  • Coordinate internal and external meetings and document decisions, actions, and follow-up activities.
  • Ensure timely completion of program deliverables and escalate risks or delays when necessary.
  • Assist in managing customer requests, technical inquiries, qualification activities, and project execution plans.

Process Management & Compliance

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of EnerSys nuclear products, processes, qualifications, and customer requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures, documentation requirements, and nuclear quality standards.
  • Monitor project activities to ensure adherence to established processes, approvals, and stage-gate requirements.
  • Support document control activities, including specifications, test reports, quality records, drawings, procedures, inspection plans, and customer submittals.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Act as a liaison between:
    • Engineering
    • Manufacturing
    • Quality Assurance
    • Procurement
    • Applications Engineering
    • Supply Chain
    • Product Management
    • Sales and Customer Support
  • Facilitate communication between departments to ensure alignment on priorities, schedules, technical requirements, and customer commitments.
  • Coordinate responses to customer technical and commercial requirements.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain program dashboards, status reports, and executive summaries.
  • Track open actions, design reviews, qualification activities, testing schedules, and documentation deliverables.
  • Assist with customer audits, factory acceptance testing, witness testing, and quality verification activities.
  • Support preparation of presentations, project reviews, business updates, and customer communications.

Supplier & Procurement Support

  • Coordinate with Procurement and Supply Chain teams regarding material availability, supplier qualifications, and critical component status.
  • Track supplier deliverables and documentation requirements supporting nuclear projects.
  • Assist in monitoring procurement milestones and manufacturing readiness.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Business, Engineering, Project Management, Operations, or related discipline.
  • Equivalent experience may be considered.

Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in project coordination, program management, operations, engineering support, or quality systems.
  • Experience working in regulated industries such as nuclear power, utilities, manufacturing, defense, aerospace, or medical industries is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting cross-functional technical projects.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and process discipline.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience with document control systems, quality systems, or ERP systems is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of nuclear industry quality requirements and documentation practices.
  • Familiarity with battery systems, stationary power systems, or energy storage technologies.
  • Experience supporting qualification testing, quality audits, inspections, or certification projects.
