Job Purpose
The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for in the effective Management of multiple projects through the Product Life Cycle, tracking the progress of projects and report their results.
Primary objectives are to manage scope, timing, quality and financial results of projects from start to finish, to exceed stakeholder’s expectations with the performance of the product and the services provided. The Project Manager will be the primary person responsible for program related communication with the cross-functional teams, external customers, and EnerSys management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Primary point of communication interface to the stakeholders for respective Global and Regional Projects.
- Possesses the interpersonal skills to build relationships with key areas responsible for the decision making process.
- Actively listens, probes and identifies concerns and develops credibility, loyalty, trust and commitment.
- Define Project Scope, Milestones, timing plans and resource allocation
- Monitor and control all project deliverables, identify issues, risks and drive results.
- Coordinate design reviews and Project gate reviews
- Monitor Project and Product.
- Prepare documentation and coordinate cross-functional meetings to monitor, control, and provide clear direction, communication and feedback on Projects tasks.
- Prepare and report multiple Projects status and ensure requirements are met periodically.
- Lead internal and external project meetings and reviews to highlight progress and ensure requirements are met.
- Cohesively aligns with other departments and communicate market needs, engineering status, and requirements.
- Apply knowledge of key Project Management processes
- Support the PMO on new ideas and continuous improvement plans defining better processes as needed
- Owns Project Management through complete product life cycle from concept, product development, supplier selection, launch, post–production performance, and lessons learned utilizing Global Product Development Process (GPDP)
- Coordinating and monitoring Projects’ documentation, timelines, technical performance, budget, production, quality deliverables, and corrective action initiatives.
- Motivate and facilitate multi-disciplined teams.
- Accountable for Projects and Programs P&L
- Lessons learned database maintenance
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in Engineering or related technical field
- 3 years of experience of cross functional exposure with a progression within project management, product engineering, or manufacturing engineering
- Li-ion battery technology experience, design, testing, manufacturing, process control
- Must have a good understanding of cross-functional responsibilities and their required deliverables.
- Demonstrated leadership capability
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Change Management
- Must possess advanced usage of Microsoft Office (Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
- Strong interpersonal skills so that necessary alliances with internal functional areas and external groups can be forged and developed quickly.
- Undergraduate degree in Engineering or related technical field
- Knowledge on PLM systems
Preferred Qualifications:
- Global experience/exposure
- APQP, PMP experience #CRP
