Job Purpose

Drive the continuous development of Quality mindset focused on zero defect. Drive the preventive Quality process mindset with project teams. Manage project risks and problem solving focusing on effective and robust technical solutions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Drive the Quality mindset within project teams.
  2. Develop and Implement Preventive Quality processes for New Projects.
  3. Drive project teams to flawless project execution using the risk assessment process to manage priorities and collaboration with cross functional teams.
  4. Develop and implement project Quality plan based on APQP process.
  5. Coach and train co-workers on Quality methods and tools.
  6. Manage project teams to follow NPI and Quality procedures.
  7. Develop, implement and monitor KPIs
  8. Support development of new components/parts with suppliers, drive for excellence in quality.
  9. Coordinate and drive Problem solving activities within the projects.
  10. Guide and drive process quality activities preparing the manufacturing process for series production (APQP).
  11. Develop and implement Safe launch process for new product introduction based on risk assessment
  12. Coordinate and manage PPAP dossiers in preparation for series production
  13. Support Development of process activities: work instructions, process acceptance criteria: in-line and EOL testers, qualification criteria for vision systems
  14. Manage quality of prototypes: components, process and end product – ensure quality requirements are met

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in Science – Electrical or Electronics engineering
  • Applied Quality experience with APQP
  • Proficiency with qualification of lithium module, pack and battery manufacturing process
  • Experience with supplier qualification: sheet metal (Asia), electronics (Mexico), Aluminum bars (Asia/Europe)
  •  Experience with problem solving, specifically with electronic components: shunt
  •  Experience with Supplier development process, ensuring required capabilities
  •  Minimum 1 year of experience developing lithium module for forklift applications
  • Demonstrated minimum experience with battery management system – developing suppliers and qualifying parts
  •  Experience with lithium cell welding process
  •  Knowledge with lithium module and pack thermal propagation
