Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead Subsystem Development: Take ownership of designing, developing, and optimizing subsystems within larger projects. You’ll work alongside a diverse team of experts in mechanical, electrical, and software engineering to build world-class solutions.
  • Apply Your Expertise: Leverage your engineering knowledge to address project challenges, independently handling tasks while receiving guidance on unique or complex problems. Your technical skills will play a key role in shaping robust, reliable systems.
  • Shape Project Success Through Key Documentation: Drive the creation of essential project documents, including design plans, specifications, and research findings. Your precision and technical insight will ensure smooth execution and set the standard for future innovation.
  • Drive Research and Technical Exploration: Conduct in-depth research and technical investigations to inform design decisions and refine project requirements. Your insights will help us stay ahead in the rapidly evolving energy landscape.
  • Collaborate and Innovate: Work closely with team members and stakeholders, bringing fresh perspectives and innovative solutions. Your communication skills will be essential for fostering collaboration and ensuring alignment across projects.
  • Adapt and Overcome Challenges: Use your problem-solving abilities to adjust techniques and methods for non-routine tasks, demonstrating sound judgment as you tackle project needs and deliver impactful results.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred). Professional certification in Systems Engineering is a plus for candidates without a Systems Engineering degree.
  • 5+ years of experience in Systems Engineering/Electrical Engineering with a strong focus on subsystem development and project-based tasks.
  • Proven experience in designing and developing complex systems, ideally in Lithium-ion Battery Systems or similar energy storage technologies, with knowledge of commercialization processes.
  • Excellent collaboration skills and a team-oriented mindset. You have a strong electronics background and can effectively collaborate with engineers across disciplines. Familiarity with software processes is an added benefit.
  • Proficiency with Systems Engineering tools for requirements management, documentation, and design trade-offs.
  • A disciplined, detail-oriented approach to problem-solving, with a commitment to delivering consistent, high-quality results.
  • Strong communication skills to share technical insights and ideas clearly and effectively with project teams and stakeholders.
