Job Purpose

The Vice President, Operations for Network Infrastructure Solutions (NIS) is responsible for leading and optimizing global manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, logistics, quality, operational excellence, and continuous improvement functions. This executive leader develops and executes operational strategies that support growth, profitability, customer satisfaction, and operational resilience. The role provides executive leadership of the Power Electronics Center of Excellence (CoE), ensuring the development, industrialization, standardization, and advancement of power electronics technologies and manufacturing capabilities across the global organization and integrated supply chain. The role is further responsible for developing strategic external partnerships that extend the capabilities of the Network Infrastructure Solutions line of business, leveraging industry-leading suppliers, design partners, and manufacturing partners to accelerate product development and commercialization of non-core technologies while maintaining focus on EnerSys' strategic differentiators.

Reporting Relationship

Reports to: President, Network Infrastructure Solutions

Direct Reports: Operations leaders, Supply Chain leadership, Plant Managers, Procurement, Quality, Operational Excellence (EOS), Manufacturing Engineering, and the Director of SIOP

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute a global operations strategy aligned with business objectives.
  • Lead operational transformation and network optimization.
  • Advance the Power Electronics CoE and manufacturing readiness for next-generation technologies.
  • Drive capacity planning, capital strategy, and operational scalability.

Global Manufacturing Operations

  • Lead global manufacturing operations.
  • Optimize productivity, throughput, quality, and asset utilization.
  • Drive Industry 4.0 and digital manufacturing initiatives.

Supply Chain and Procurement

  • Lead end-to-end supply chain, sourcing, planning, logistics, and inventory strategies.
  • Oversee global SIOP processes.
  • Build resilient supply chains and strategic supplier partnerships.
  • Develop and execute strategic supplier partnership models that leverage external partners for non-core power electronics technologies, product development, contract manufacturing, and supply chain capabilities, enabling accelerated innovation, scalability, and cost competitiveness.

Power Electronics Center of Excellence Leadership

  • Provide executive leadership of the global Power Electronics CoE.
  • Align engineering, product management, manufacturing, and quality teams.
  • Establish standards, roadmaps, and best practices for power electronics manufacturing.
  • Lead a partner-enabled innovation strategy that identifies, qualifies, and manages world-class technology, design, and manufacturing partners to supplement internal capabilities in non-core technologies while preserving focus on EnerSys' core intellectual property, differentiation, and strategic technology platforms.
  • Establish governance, sourcing, and supplier collaboration frameworks to support outsourced product development, technology integration, contract manufacturing, and strategic component supply for the global power electronics portfolio.
  • Drive technology transfer, manufacturability, reliability, and cost optimization.
  • Develop technical talent and external technology partnerships.

Quality, Safety, and Compliance

  • Ensure world-class safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
  • Promote continuous improvement and risk management.

Financial Business Performance

  • Own operational KPI performance, margins, working capital, and productivity improvements.
  • Manage operating budgets and capital investments.

 

Leadership and Talent Development

  • Build high-performing global teams.
  • Drive succession planning, engagement, and leadership development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.
  • 15+ years of leadership experience in global manufacturing and supply chain environments.
  • Experience in power systems, energy storage, or power electronics industries.
