Job Purpose

EnerSys Delaware Inc.’s Richmond, KY, office seeks an EOS Manager to establish, coordinate and provide leadership for local plant improvement projects, and EOS (EnerSys Operational System) implementation for improving the operations and processes. Projects will be integrated with the region / plants lean deployment efforts and meet the guidelines, criteria and metrics established by the business.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead and design local improvement projects and effectively coordinate projects with the Regional EOS Director.
  • Use statistical analysis tools/methodology, project management, SAP, quality and basic financial principles and apply them to analyze the planned activities.
  • Employ lean methodologies and tools in order to accomplish business objectives.
  • Develop most efficient ways to use people, machines, materials, information, and energy to make a product or service.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent degree) in Industrial Engineering or a directly related field plus five (5) years of post-baccalaureate and progressively responsible experience in a related process improvement position at a manufacturing facility or distribution center

  • Experience with or knowledge of:

    • Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Engineering software systems, with ability to create spreadsheets for analysis and tracking of various information.

    • Project leadership, including identifying opportunities, defining and financially justifying projects, launching project teams, using good project management to perform team activities.

    • Leading Kaizen events to deliver target improvement.

    • Ensuring projects are integrated with other business activities, improvement projects, and business strategy.

    • Computer programming/networking to “digitize” data from the floor into a centralized place according to EOS 4.0 requirements.

  • Must have Lean six sigma green belt certification.

  • Must be able and willing to travel domestically to various unanticipated employer and client locations to provide technical support up to 20%.

 

Experience can be concurrent.
