This position will report to our EnerSys Energy Systems business, which serves the telecom, cable broadband, industrial, renewable, and data center markets. Job Purpose
Under general direction, oversees, manages and directs the programs and activities of the National Parts Center and Mega Distribution Center functions. Manages operations and staff to assure a smooth and continuous work flow and achieves maximum efficiency.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Carries out managerial responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies, procedures, local regulations, OSHA and EPA requirements.
- Manages, prioritizes, coordinates and assigns the daily activities of the NPC / MDC staff.
- Oversees and insures all company polices and procedures are being followed.
- Interviews, hires, provides training and conducts performance evaluations for direct reports. Assists in the training of employees such as Forklift training, ISO policies, house keeping and safety procedures.
- Provides support, direction and coaching to subordinate employees in the areas of disciplinary action and problem resolution.
- Ability to apply advanced LEAN concepts to foster an environment of continuous improvement in the culture (EOS, iVALA)
- Assists with planning and development of departmental budgets and strives to achieve Budgetary objectives.
- Responsible for managing overall inventory control procedures to conform to required protocols. Such as, but not limited to, physical inventory cycle count and reconciliation of discrepancies as required.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leader for a team environment with good communication skills to efficiently execute the operation.
Responsible for managing employees in receiving and shipping orders for domestic and international shipments.

- Knowledge of applicable affective ISO standard(s) experience helpful.
- Knowledge of Hazmat specification helpful.
- Willingness and ability to lead, supervise and train.
- C-TPAT competency and oversight
- Knowledge of UL requirements for battery specifications
- Knowledge of DOT regulations for over-the-road shipments
- Experience with Baan and SAP
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college and/or 6 years of Supply Chain experience.
