Job Purpose
The Salesforce Sales Cloud Product Owner plays a pivotal role in advocating for business within the organization, ensuring business alignment with Salesforce solutions. The Product Owner will manage and execute a Salesforce digital roadmap across enerSys to bring new experiences and features to employees and customers that will promote a most valued customer experience, and revenue growth by closely aligning business goals with Salesforce deliverables. The goal is to standardize capabilities across LOB’s and coordinate with other Product Owners to build a common process and RACI for engaging with the business.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Product Vision (Solution): Defines product features from solution perspective, and ensures alignment with business objectives
Product Backlog Management: Create and maintain a prioritized product backlog, incorporating feedback from Business stakeholders (including new needs or enhancements)
Note: assigned Product Admins would help product owners to triage the incoming requirements.
Requirements Gathering: Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather and define detailed product requirements.
User Stories: Break down product requirements into user stories with clear acceptance criteria, ensuring a shared understanding among team members.
Note: For projects, the detailed user story writing may be done by an assigned BA, but supervised / reviewed by PO
Release Planning: Coordinate with other POs and the release manager to ensure releases are minimized and as efficient as possible. Collaborate with development teams to plan and prioritize releases, considering both business and technical aspects in conjunction with the designated release manager.
Collaboration: Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and development teams through the explanation of user stories and acceptance criteria. Ensure clear communication and understanding of product goals, features, and progress.
Metrics and KPIs: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of the product and drive data-driven decision-making.
Documentation: responsible for ensuring that documentation that describes the architecture, functionality and data consumed and transformed is fully documented whether by themselves, the admins, or external partners.
Learning: Manage their time effectively to ensure a portion of their day/week/month is spent on research of new features and functionality that the relevant Cloud environment they are responsible for. This is to ensure we can fully explain the capabilities with business partners and exploit as much value from the investment in the platform. Build a trail and certification plan that is updated annually for the role. Invest time in understanding the business and help plug holes in process definition with business partners.
Develop strong working relationships with business stakeholders to understand top priorities for their business units; communicate status of critical work in progress; mitigate impediments; seek engagement and collaboration in person as much as possible.
Support the business by applying cross functional subject matter expertise of business process, systems, and integration to facilitate continuous improvement and innovation
Analyze data, risk, impacts, scope, and priorities for the overall business objected to meet goals
Collaborate on User Documentation
Conduct Salesforce Product Research including membership or association with appropriate peer communities for different innovative solutions to meet business objectives.
Ride along with business users at least quarterly and where this is not appropriate other time with users either remotely or in an office situation.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's Degree: Preferably in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.

• Data Analysis: Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques. Experience with SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools like Tableau.
• Process Mapping: Ability to create and interpret process flow diagrams and other business process documentation.
• Requirements Gathering: Skilled in eliciting, documenting, and managing business and technical requirements.
• Configuration and Customization: Basic understanding of Salesforce customization and configuration options, including workflows, process builder, and custom objects.
