This position will be focusing primarily on our Energy Systems line of business, which include telecommunications, IT, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), utilities and switchgear, security, emergency lighting and general electronics. Some of the reserve power brands include PowerSafe,DataSafe, and Genesis. Our extensive product range serves a variety of reserve power applications and consistently delivers the most effective, powerful and reliable batteries available.

Job Purpose
In the field and in advised locations, design, troubleshoot, modify, assemble, install, test, commission, diagnose, maintain and repair electrical networks, systems, circuits, equipment, components, appliances, electrical wiring systems and associate fixtures, controls, equipment and facilities, and service and repair related equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring systems, fixtures, controls, and equipment at advised locations in compliance with Australian standards.
- For those qualified in Refrigeration Engineering or Air Conditioner installation, perform installation, maintenance, and servicing of refrigeration and air conditioning systems to relevant Australian standards.
- Conduct electrical installation, maintenance, and repairs for GSM shelters, equipment rooms, control rooms, electrical switch rooms, radar/satellite facilities, electrolyser shelters, and DC power systems on-site and in the field.
- Ensure compliance with Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) legislation, safeguarding personal and team safety in the work area.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including timesheets, for QA, OHS, legal, billing, and compliance purposes.
- Operate and maintain tools, equipment, and PPE effectively and safely.
- Assist non-trade and trades personnel as required and estimate hours/materials for specific tasks.
- Engage with staff, contractors, subcontractors, and the public in a polite and professional manner.
- Uphold company policies, procedures, and customer service standards to ensure positive feedback.
- Undertake other duties as necessary while protecting and promoting the company brand.

Education / Vocational Requirements
Minimum Requirement:
⦁ LVR (Low Voltage Rescue) certificate
⦁ Recognised qualifications in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning
⦁ First Aid Certificate
⦁ Radhaz Certificate
⦁ WAH (Work safely at Heights) Certificate
⦁ Tower Rescue Certificate
⦁ EWP (Elevated Work Platform) Certificate
⦁ Experience in Installing electrical conduits, pits and underground reticulation according to plans and specifications
⦁ Previous Experience in Installing DC Systems, Commissioning and Load Testing
⦁ CEC Solar Accredited
⦁ Previous Experience working in Data Centres
Preferred: Education / Vocational Requirements
- A Grade Electrician’s license
- Current Drivers Licence
- Ability to work at heights
- Flexibility with working hours including the ability to work after hours and travel locally and within Australia
- Ability to read and interpret plans and drawings
- Experience in installing LV boards, room air conditioning systems and PLC control systems
- Ability to operate, maintain and work safely with hand tools, small plant and equipment associated with the installation of buildings
- Demonstrated ability to perform required tasks in a safe manner
- Experience with completing documentation for QA, OHS, legal, billing and compliance records
- Good communication, literacy and numeracy skills
- Must be able to lift moderately heavy items
- Basic skills in: Problem solving; Organisation; Communication & interpersonal skills; and Computer literacy – Microsoft Office / Windows environment
- Ability to prioritise workload
- Ability to work as part of a team, with or without supervision
