Job Purpose

A Commercial Driver Licensed (CDL) Shuttle Driver is an integral part of the EnerSys manufacturing plants with the responsibility of keeping our production centers stocked with the raw materials needed to complete their daily builds. The Shuttle Driver’s primary goal is to operate a company vehicle in a safe and expedient manner, while continuing to follow and obey all safety regulations put forward by EnerSys and the Department of Transportation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Complete a Pre-Trip Inspection on assigned Vehicle (Semi & Trailer) and report any deficiencies found immediately
Maintain proper inventory of all safety & material handling equipment. Items such as Brace Bars, Load Straps, Safety Cones, etc.
Keep an organized, clean, and sanitary work space in your assigned company vehicle. Operator checks are conducted weekly and Drivers may be required to switch vehicles without notice.
Perform daily transfers in a safe and efficient manner while maintaining the proper travel logs as required for all CDL Operators.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Commercial Drivers License – Class A with a minimum of 5 Years Operator Experience is Required
Clean Driving Record with ZERO Alcohol related citations or convictions and ZERO speed related citations withing the past sixty months (5 years)
Ability to be Insured as a Driver under EnerSys current policy.
Current Department of Transportation (DOT) Physical.
