This position will be focusing primarily on our Reserve Power applications, which include telecommunications, IT, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), utilities and switchgear, security, emergency lighting and general electronics. Some of the reserve power brands include PowerSafe,DataSafe, and Genesis. Our extensive product range serves a variety of reserve power applications and consistently delivers the most effective, powerful and reliable batteries available.


Job Purpose

This position exists to assist the Safety Specialist in monitoring the facility and employees to ensure safe, healthy, and regulatory compliant working conditions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Scheduling and Conducting Airborne Lead Monitoring.
  2. Conducting Safety Audits/Walkthroughs/Reviews.
  3. Preparing, Scheduling and Conducting Safety Training.
  4. Scheduling and Conducting Sound Level Monitoring and Noise Dosimetry.
  5. Discussions with Team Leaders and Employees Regarding Various Safety/Health Matters.
  6. Stocking, Ordering and Cleaning PPE and First Aid Equipment.
  7. Tracking, Filing and Maintaining Databases of Safety/Health Training, Air-Lead Results, Blood-Lead Results, Noise Dosimetry Results, Audiometric Testing Results, Wipe Test Results, Fit Test Results, Prescription Safety Glasses Vouchers and Safety Shoe Vouchers.
  8. Scheduling and Coordination of Blood-Lead Draws, Notifications and Laboratory Evaluation of Samples.
  9. Incident Investigations and Corrective Action Plans.
  10. Scheduling, Conducting, Participating and/or Leading Employee Safety Committee and Ergonomics Committee.
  11. Identifying, Assigning and Cleaning Employee Lockers.
  12. Developing, Maintaining and Coordinating Safety Incentive Programs.
  13. Coordinating and Providing First Responder and First Aid Duties.
  14. Developing, Maintaining and Revising Safety and Health Operating Procedures and Lockout/Tagout Procedures.



 A minimum of two years experience related to either manufacturing, industrial safety, or industrial hygiene.  High School Diploma or GED, additionally the completion of at least 60 credit hours toward a degree in Industrial Safety or related field is desirable, but not essential.  Completion of some coursework in Industrial Hygiene is preferable as well.
