Job Purpose

Improve the overall quality management system throughout the facility through validation of incoming raw material and control of metrology in accordance to the IATF 16949 standard.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Inspection and recording of incoming material from vendors and disposition according to published specifications.
  • Inspection, recording, and preservation of First Article Inspection (FAI) samples from vendors. This can include new parts, vendors,and/or tooling; changes to existing parts; or increased inspection due to previous non-conformances.
  • Corresponding with internal and external stakeholders when necessary, in direct response to a non-conformance identified either through inspection or within the manufacturing process.
  • Maintaining of all calibrated gauges throughout factory. This includes verifying and/or calibrating using internal standards or working with external laboratory to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, providing status updates of existing gauges when necessary and working with vendors to have purchase or repair gauges.
  • Perform Measurement System Analysis (MSA) on gauging systems throughout factory and develop methods to continually improve.
  • Collect and report data for customer Part Production Approval Process (PPAP) when necessary.
  • Participate in both Internal and External audits to maintain compliance to IATF 16943 standard. This may include performaing audits on internal processes.
  • Perform inspections on purchased and manufactured product as required by procedures
  • Provide support and assistance in problem identification and resolution
  • No supervisory responsibilities for this role


Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Three to five years experience in manufacturing preferred
  • Previous experience in Incoming, Inspection and/or Calibration preferred.
  • Experience with either ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 17025 preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand the local language.
  • Possess a valid forklift driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 4-year technical degree or 2 years quality experience in a manufacturing environment

General Job Requirements

  • Must be able to frequently bend; twist; reach; stoop; kneel or crouch.
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds/11.5 kilos on occasions.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
  • Employees are responsible for wearing the required Personal Protective Equipment in the proper manner at all times.
  • Must be able and willing to work varying schedules which may include nights, weekends, and public holidays.
  • This position is exposed to harmful materials such as lead/fiberglass products. Periodic blood tests are required to measure the level of lead. Precautions are taken by the company/employee to reduce the risk of exposure and help ensure everyones safety.
  • This position requires working in a plant/warehouse environment. Therefore, expect varying working conditions.
