This position will be focusing primarily on our Reserve Power applications, which include telecommunications, IT, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), utilities and switchgear, security, emergency lighting and general electronics. Some of the reserve power brands include PowerSafe,DataSafe, and Genesis. Our extensive product range serves a variety of reserve power applications and consistently delivers the most effective, powerful and reliable batteries available.

 

Job Purpose

<span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">This position supports the EnerSys Operating System (EOS) transformation efforts. This position implements and supports actions that bring about improvements to operations and processes which may include, but are not limited to, safety, quality, delivery, cycle time, growth, margin expansion and inventory levels.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Executing against long and short-term objectives to support EOS goals.
  2. <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Working with necessary plant personnel to identify, address, and eliminate process related obstacles.
  3. <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Assisting in the change of systems/processes as required in support of the EOS initiatives.
  4. <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Learn value stream mapping techniques to design optimal information, material, and production flow methods.
  5. <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Act as a change agent to bring about improvements in process through the active support, participation in leadership of Rapid Improvement Events; includes:
    1. <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Owning pre and post standard work.
    2. <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Participating in facilitating projects/events.
    3. <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Participate in MDI gemba walks.
  6. <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Help update and maintain visual performance tools, including mission control and MDI boards.
  7. <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Conduct cycle time analysis, time studies, work balance/flow improvements, work place analysis and improvement.
  8. <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Help develop more efficient ways to use people, machines, materials, information, and energy to make a product or service.
  9. <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Regular in person attendance with on time arrival/departure.   Required to work irregular hours on short notice. Punctuality and dependability are a job requirement.

 

Qualifications
  1. <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Bachelor's degree in related field or five years plant/general management experience in a manufacturing environment.
  2. <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Working knowledge of budgets and financials statements.
  3. <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Background with manufacturing methods, process improvement programs and procedures required.
  4. <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">A quality directed work attitude.
  5. <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Effective communication both written and verbal to converse via telephone and video conferencing.
  6. <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Must be able to work independently.
  7. <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Must be detail oriented and organized.
