Job Purpose

<span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">The Product Engineering Manager use his/her ability and background knowledge to guide development of manufacturing processes for new products from the specifications developed by the technical group.   Product designs resulting from this department’s efforts must be profitably manufactural and perform well in comparison to competitor products. The position also oversees the work of others and make sure work is done in an effective and efficient manner.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Providing leadership for engineers and technicians in product engineering by allocating resources, setting priorities, clearing obstacles, and following up as needed to produce results and develop teams
  2. <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Driving product engineering excellence to insure future product designs can be economically  manufactured
  3. <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Know and apply current Engineering practices in light of Manufacturing and Quality Control considerations.
  4. <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Provide technical support in the area of product design and development; Manufacturing Engineering to facilitate incorporation of current manufacturing practices into new designs and improve manufacturability of existing products.
  5. <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Coordinating the debugging & qualifying of equipment.
  6. <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Supervise the development and maintenance of Gantt charts for projects.
  7. <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Conducting evaluations and providing input on subordinate’s performance.
  8. <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Responsible for Engineering schedules and budgets’
  9. <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Work with other engineering team members to design production equipment and tooling.
  10. <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Direct the activities of engineering change control on production drawings.
  1. <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline and/or equivalent Engineering experience.
  2. <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Demonstrated ability to work harmoniously as a team member.
  3. <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Must be detail-oriented.
  4. <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Ability to train and develop personnel through monitoring, measuring & improving practices.
  5. <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Must be well organized and able to coordinate multiple tasks in a controlled manner.
  6. <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Effective communication skills both oral and written
  7. <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Computer literacy including design software and Microsoft Office.
  8. <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Ability to analyze information gathered in order to identify potential problems or discrepancies.
  9. <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Self-motivated and able to work without close supervision.
