Job Purpose
The Maintenance Manager position will oversee plant equipment, facility infrastructure, and technical teams to maximize machine uptime and minimize operational downtime. The Maintenance Manager will direct maintenance personnel, drive sustainability, implement TPM, ensure PM’s are done in a timely manner and solicit quotes from vendors.
The Maintenance Manager will support production by minimizing downtime and ensuring that critical equipment running is needed to support our customers. This is an administrative position and will require scheduling overtime and providing on-call support as needed to support Production.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Safety is our top priority. The Maintenance Manager must prioritize safety for ALL associates and actively participate in Safety Audits
Must be able to satisfactorily perform all duties and responsibilities mentioned in the work instructions for this position.
Must provide after-hours support, as needed, for all shifts.
Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and schematics needed for repair, installation, or extraction of production machinery.
Must have proven knowledge and skills to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain metal fabrication production equipment, understand building and grounds maintenance needs, and material handling equipment including forklifts and hand trucks.
Must have proven knowledge and skills to troubleshoot and repair 3-phase 120, 240 ,480-volt electrical circuits, as well as 12-, 24-, 120-, 240-, & 480-volt single-phase electrical circuits, DC circuits voltages, motor control circuits, pneumatic system/circuits, hydraulic system/circuits
Project management skills are critical. This includes materials and labor needed to complete the project.
Daily activities include PM Schedules, performing PM’s, ordering parts, and inventory control.

Demonstrate a consistently positive, cooperative, self-motivated, courteous, and professional attitude towards employees, customers, and vendors.
The Maintenance Manager reports problems, with potential solutions, to the Plant Manager for direction and guidance.
Assist with Environmental monthly, quarterly and annual inspections.
Complete EPA Checklist and annual reports.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
All maintenance personnel will report directly to the Maintenance Manager.

EDUCATION and/ or EXPERIENCE:
The Maintenance Manager should have a High School diploma or GED; technical certification or a bachelor’s degree in engineering or industrial technology is strongly preferred.
Must have 5+ years working in industrial or manufacturing maintenance with at lease 2 to 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employee organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
This position requires the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as area, circumference and volume. Ability to apply concepts of fractions, division, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABLITY:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. The successful candidate will have the ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
Competent computer skills are required in use of general office software and maintenance hardware/software as needed to interface with production machinery.

Journeyman Electrical preferred
SAP preferred
LEAN background
eMaint exposure preferred
Laser cutting technologies preferred (Trumpf as a plus)
