This position will be focusing primarily on our Reserve Power applications, which include telecommunications, IT, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), utilities and switchgear, security, emergency lighting and general electronics. Some of the reserve power brands include PowerSafe,DataSafe, and Genesis. Our extensive product range serves a variety of reserve power applications and consistently delivers the most effective, powerful and reliable batteries available.


Job Purpose

A Business partner for the Energy Systems group Operatins team regarding financial planning, strategy development, compliance, reporting and analysis.  The Plant Controller is expected to be a dynamic leader on the plant leadership team by contributing to all areas of plant management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Identify under performing areas with regards to financial and operational issues, and then make recommendations to expand benchmark performance and/or correct/improve identified areas for improvement.
  • Participate directly in EnerSys Operating Systems (Lean Operations) process to drive continuous improvement. Identifying ways to reduce waste by streamlining processes and systems. 
  • Provide analysis, support and recommendations on Capital projects.
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly leadership analysis and presentation package
  • Ensure compliance with all business and SOX requirements
  • Compile and analyze financial reporting packages for the individual manufacturing teams.
  • Work with manufacturing teams to forecast, prepare and analyze monthly and annual operating budgets.
  • Manage financial controls in the Operation sites in accordance with the company’s procedures.
  • Support manufacturing operations through inventory planning, controls and cost analysis.
  • Influence business performance by leading decision-making process through insightful analysis, fact-based recommendations and proactively identifying opportunities.
  • Assist in resolving plant issues (daily or month-end) with analysis and current and future action plans.
  • Utilize tools to monitor departmental cost and cost trends, striving continuously to improve value.
  • BS degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field
  • Understanding of inventory, cost accounting, and internal control process in a manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of direct experience in an industrial business, manufacturing or distribution environment.
  • Ability to synthesize analytical findings while working with information from different sources and present an executive level summary of the results.
  • SAP experience.
