Job Title:  Quality Technician

Job Purpose

Assist with Quality activities within new product development projects, supporting the implementation of Quality mindset to the entire project teams, identify potential failures in an earlier stages of product development utilizing Quality tools and lessons learned. Support the identification of project risks and required actions to mitigate them and problem solving focusing on effective and robust technical solutions. Ensure the overall quality of a manufactured product. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Drive the Quality mindset within project teams.
• Product inspection.
• Assure Preventive Quality processes are followed for New Projects.
• Identify opportunities for improvements within the Project life cycle process.
• Monitor and support Quality and MDI KPIs.
• Participate and promote EOS (EnerSys Operation Systems) through out Lean Methodologies.
• Develop and support development of new components/process with supplier, drive for excellence in part quality.
• Coordinate and drive Problem solving containment and corrective actions within the projects and manufacturing.
• Guide and drive process quality activities in the manufacturing environment in preparation for series production utilizing Capability studies, Control Plan, MSA, R@R, etc.
• Implement the Preventive Quality Plan (Roadmap), on each phase of development.
• Support Design and Process FMEA.
• Perform and support Project Status Audits and Process Audits on new and existing production lines.
• Follow control plans related to prototypes, pre-production and series production, including reinforced controls for startup phase (SOP).
• Ensure application of lessons learned relevant for the specific project.
• Support and assess product validation / qualification according to internal and Customer requirements.
• Assist with the disposition of MRB product.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, Engineering, Quality Management, or related field and/or equivalent combination of education and experience Quality tools experience.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.
• English language on communicative level in writing and speaking
• Knowledge of quality tools and methodologies (8D, 5WHY, Statistical Tools, SPC, etc.).
• Team player able to work independently.

Preferred Requirements:

• Certified auditor
• Quality inspection experience
