Job Title:  Senior Quality Engineer I

Job Purpose

Lead the Quality activities within new product development projects, supporting the implementation of Quality mindset to the entire project teams, guiding the team to identify potential failures in an earlier stages of product development utilizing Quality tools and lessons learned. Support the identification of project risks and required actions to mitigate them and problem solving focusing on effective and robust technical solutions. Ensure the overall quality of a manufactured product. Lead team when problem solving for manufacturing issues require deeper investigation.
 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Drive the Quality mindset within project teams.
• Assure Preventive Quality processes are followed for New Projects.
• Drive project teams to flawless project execution using the risk assessment process to manage priorities and collaboration of cross functional teams.
• Develop and define project Quality plans based on APQP process.
• Coach and train co-workers on Quality methods and tools, improving the quality of the product and production line.
• Manage project teams to follow NPI and Quality procedures.
• Identify opportunities for improvements within the Project life cycle process.
• Monitor and support Quality and MDI KPIs.
• Participate and promote EOS (EnerSys Operation Systems) through out Lean Methodologies.
• Develop and support development of new components/process with supplier, drive for excellence in part quality.
• Coordinate and drive Problem solving containment and corrective actions within the projects and manufacturing.
• Guide and drive process quality activities in the manufacturing environment in preparation for series production utilizing Capability studies, Control Plan, MSA, R@R, etc.
• Support Design and Process FMEA.
• Perform and support Project Status Audits and Process Audits on new and existing production lines.
• Prepare control plans related to prototypes, pre-production and series production, including reinforced controls for startup phase (SOP).
• Ensure application of lessons learned relevant for the specific project.
• Support and assess product validation / qualification according to internal and Customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, Engineering, Quality Management, or related field and/or equivalent combination of education and experience Quality tools experience.
• Minimum 3 year of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Minimum 3 year experience in ISO9001.
• English language on communicative level in writing and speaking
• Knowledge of quality tools and methodologies (8D, 5WHY, Statistical Tools, SPC, etc.).
• Excellent PC skills with the ability to produce high quality document deliverables in short time scales.
• SAP knowledge, desirably with quality module Familiar with technical documentation.
• Team player able to work independently.
