This position will be focusing primarily on our Reserve Power applications, which include telecommunications, IT, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), utilities and switchgear, security, emergency lighting and general electronics. Some of the reserve power brands include PowerSafe,DataSafe, and Genesis. Our extensive product range serves a variety of reserve power applications and consistently delivers the most effective, powerful and reliable batteries available.
Job Purpose
Perform critical warehouse tasks that may include receiving, shipping, stocking, issuing and cycle counting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Understand in depth the material flow process and how each warehouse discipline, such as receiving, restocking, pulling for the line, kitting, data entry, inventory transfer, special parts requests, cycle counting, maintaining kan bans, filling parts orders, managing bin items and component identification, contribute to the success of the materials team
- Research inventory discrepancies and find the root cause
- Maintain a safe, clean, professional-looking warehouse
- Enter data in MRP system accurately
- Communicate professionally and effectively with internal and external customers
- Assist in quality and productivity improvement activities
- Provide work leadership and training to lower leverl department employees
- Support FIFO (First in First Out) program
- Maintain bin accuracy by conducting Bin Audits
- Skilled in both loading and unloading product into trailers / containers
Additional Responsibilities:
- Proven confidence in one of the following:
- Ability to do all aspects of receiving including: (1) Processing goods receipts and customer returns (2) Resolution of any receiving issues that are presented throughout the day
- Ability to do all aspects of shipping including (1) Accurately preparing daily orders for shipment using standard work instructions to gather, verify, consolidate, stage and load finished goods orders (2) Prepare records of goods shipped including piece/pallet counts and weights (3) Resolution of any shipping issues that are presented througout the day (4) Process small packages via shipping software and required documentation
Qualifications
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience:
- 4-6 years in the field of inventory/warehouse
Additional Qualifications:
- Strong math aptitude
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and management
- Willingness to learn varied tasks
