Job Purpose

We are seeking a hands-on Process Engineer whose primary responsibilities include support of existing manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will be able to streamline processes for cost-effectiveness and repeatability; design and implement fixtures.  May serve as technical lead on assigned projects and be responsible for conducting organized studies and experiments to identify the root cause of assembly or quality problems. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • May be responsible for conducting organized studies and experiments to identify the root cause of assembly or quality problems. 
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Be able to streamline processes for cost-effectiveness and repeatability. 
  • Design and implement fixtures. 
  • May serve as project leader on assigned projects. 

Qualifications

  • Experience in evaluating material, designing and conducting tests preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment.  5-7 years of battery technology experience is a plus, but not required.
  • Strong use of 3D software, preferably SolidWorks and material selection. 
  • Familiar with 6 sigma tools, analytical with design and problem-solving skills. 
  • Project management skills and ability to maintain schedules.
  • Teamwork, visionary leadership, change management, leadership, cost consciousness, ethics, judgment, professionalism and adaptability.
  • Ability to solve practical problems, handle multiple tasks effectively and able to work with minimal supervision.

 

Education:

  • Minimum Bachelor of Science Degree required
