Job Purpose
This role supports the service and technical teams by helping maintain, repair, and service EnerSys products in the assigned area. You’ll play an important part in day‑to‑day shop and warehouse operations while learning hands‑on technical skills that support customer service and service‑related sales goals. If you enjoy working with your hands, learning how things work, and being part of a team that supports one another, this could be a great opportunity. We provide hands‑on training and ongoing support to help you build skills and grow in the role—so prior technical experience isn’t required. This position is an existing vacancy.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

What You'll Do:
- Support daily shop and warehouse operations, including organization, staging, and general housekeeping
- Assist with shipping and receiving activities, including preparing and verifying shipments and documentation
- Help evaluate, diagnose, and repair customer equipment in the shop, including cleaning, washing, and neutralizing batteries
- Perform discharge test evaluations using meters and testing equipment (training provided)
- Assist with the installation and removal of motive power batteries
- Replace defective parts, reassemble batteries, and add acid or water to achieve specified concentrations
- Operate material handling equipment in accordance with OSHA requirements
- Perform inspections, identify potential issues, and help recommend repairs or corrective actions
- Maintain accurate service, inventory, and shipping records using company systems
- Follow safety, environmental, and transportation guidelines
- Keep the warehouse and service area clean and organized at the end of each day
- Follow company policies related to safety, quality, and compliance
- Take on additional tasks as needed to support the team

Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. - High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in a shop, warehouse, or shipping/receiving environment is helpful but not required
- Comfort with basic math such as percentages, measurements, and simple calculations
- Willingness to learn how to troubleshoot and solve technical problems
- Ability to follow written and diagram‑based instructions
- Strong teamwork and organizational skills
- Professional attitude and reliability
- Fluent in English and French
- B1-B2 (Independent User): Can understand main points of complex texts, interact with native speakers, and handle most situations.
- Willingness to complete EnerSys Service Representative Training within 6–12 months
- Forklift training will be provided
- Ability to operate company vehicles safely
- Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record
Travel
- Occasional overnight travel (approximately 3–4 days at a time) to London and Bolton for training, meetings, or customer service needs
General Job Requirements
- This position requires you to drive a company vehicle. Therefore, you must be able to pass the company’s driving requirements. Certain vehicles may also require a specific drivers license and have additional driving requirements.
- Must be able to differentiate colors.
- Must be able to frequently bend; twist; reach; stoop; kneel or crouch.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds/23 kilos on a daily continuous basis. Anything heavier will be done with the assistance of a mechanical device or with the assistance of another employee.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Employees are responsible for wearing the required Personal Protective Equipment in the proper manner at all times.
- Must be able and willing to be on-call.
- Risk of electrical shock.
- This position is exposed to harmful materials such as lead/fiberglass products. Periodic blood tests are required to measure the level of lead. Precautions are taken by the company/employee to reduce the risk of exposure and help ensure everyones safety.
- This position requires working in a plant/warehouse environment. Therefore, expect varying working conditions.
