Job Purpose

EnerSys is currently seeking a Materials Analyst (PFEP Coordinator) to maintain the Plant for Every Part (PFEP) process at the Warrensburg, Mo manufacturing facility. Additionally, this key role will manage the site’s relationship with our 3PL partner to include all associated business costs.


This position will drive the deployment of demand data and strategic initiatives to manage the flow of materials across the supply chain in a way that maximizes on time delivery while minimizing inventory and 3PL logistics costs.  In addition, this role will manage multiple complex projects and drive outcomes with optimal results and will require strong analytics to create and implement strategies for continuous improvement. Must have an in depth understanding of inventory control procedures and experience within a fully integrated ERP System (BaaN preferred, but other experience with integrated ERP systems will be strongly considered).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities


  1. Plan and monitor material movement in production cycle to ensure continuous operations.
  2. Review production plan to identify risks and mitigate 3PL cost factors.
  3. Investigate production control issues, analyze root causes, and derive solutions.
  4. Ensure root cause countermeasure processes are complete to identify and provide solutions as related to PFEP.
  5. Complete controlled maintenance of the PFEP following established guidelines and standard work.
  6. Analyze production requirements and makes recommendations for optimal material flow, storage and delivery.
  7. Provide detailed analysis on anticipated shortages and corrective actions taken to minimize impact.
  8. Update, maintain, and distribute metrics relating to material availability.
  9. Maintain the Plan for Every Part (PFEP) database for purchasing, withdrawal, and production Kanban’s.
  10. Lead Kanban implementation including calculation of the bin quantity and size, coordinating supplier requirements and daily management requirements.
  11. Perform detailed data analysis for production optimization in all systems: Legacy System, BaaN and Plan For Every Part (PFEP)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field of study from an accredited four-year college or university.
  • Experience:
  • Three (3) to five (5) years materials experience or similar experience that includes 3PL logistics, purchasing, planning, forecasting and inventory control management in a heavy manufacturing familiarity of material flow optimization through tools such as Lean, Visual Management, and Supplier Value Stream Mapping.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP software for supply chain/inventory management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BaaN experience is strongly preferred and/or strong background in ERP systems.
  • CPM, CSCP, CPIM or other professional certification for procurement or supply chain.
  • Effective communications skills at both technical and leadership levels.
  • Must include strong interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to understand information and ideas as presented

Mathematical Skills:

  • Strong understanding of basic operations management skills including statistics, forecasting, production planning, MRP, etc.
  • Effective usage of standard statistics.
