Job Title:  Process Quality Engineering Intern

Job Purpose

This position exists to assist the Quality Process Engineer with short-term projects to aid in process alignment between plants and scrap reduction.  The intern will work under direction of the Quality Process Engineer with Engineering and Quality team members in the Missouri TPPL plants to assist with implementation of identified process improvement projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Includes the following.  Other duties may be assigned.
⦁    Coordinate update of engineering documentation activities with manufacturing, engineering, technical and other personnel.  Conduct training of operations personnel to new standards. 
⦁    Conduct data collection and experimentation to evaluate proposed changes. 
⦁    Assist in identifying and resolving technical problems of significant complexity.  
⦁    Prepare standard reports, summaries, and evaluations. Communication may be written or oral.

Education and/or Experience
Currently actively enrolled in a technical field of study at an accredited university or college.  

Language Skills
Above average oral and written communication skills and solid interpersonal skills
 

Mathematical Skills
Above average mathematics, statistical and quality control methods
 

Reasoning Ability
Ability to perform analysis of high complexity.  Ability to use standard and special PC software packages to develop spreadsheets for computer reports.  Problem solving skills. 
 

Computer Skills 
Basic knowledge of computers, database, spreadsheet programs, word processing, and data entry for analytical results.
 

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Valid drivers license. 
 

Other Skills and Abilities
Ability to use gauging equipment, ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously, to work independently and with minimal supervision, ability to read blue prints.

Travel duration of up to 1 week may be required.
