This position will be focusing primarily on our Energy Systems line of business, which include telecommunications, IT, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), utilities and switchgear, security, emergency lighting and general electronics. Some of the reserve power brands include PowerSafe,DataSafe, and Genesis. Our extensive product range serves a variety of reserve power applications and consistently delivers the most effective, powerful and reliable batteries available.
Role Overview
The Key Account Manager will be responsible for developing and maintaining key accounts identified by EnerSys within the Motive Power industry. Reporting to the National Sales Manager all approved strategies for sales & service securing maximum sales volumes from existing EnerSys Australia customers, and also new customers, from our existing product range will be applied to maximize the EnerSys offer and differentiate throughout all sales channels against competitors.Develop, implement and realize the sales /account plan for the assigned account/portfolio, acquire and retain accounts and build and strengthen relations in order to realize commercial objectives
Main Responsibilities
- Provide product leadership to the Enersys client base as required.
- Professional representation to all clients of the EnerSys brand and products in keeping with our corporate guidelines
- Daily interaction with client base, via tools provided, to ensure every opportunity is maximized
- Regular reviews and updates with client base, for effective sales management and prompt issue resolution
- Ensure the required processes are in place for the sharing of information between EnerSys and client to facilitate effective communication and reporting, required to meet contractual agreements where in place
- Assist in defining clear and measurable objectives and actions for the client/s business plan/s.
- Prompt and effective introduction and training of additional and complimentary products and services for the expansion and/or extension of the relationship
- Preparation of specific value add solution quotes and specifications in conjunction with the relevant Engineering and Product Support groups within the ENS organization.
- Maintenance of activity logs and quotations registers in order to optimize efficiencies and increase effectiveness in managing both existing client base and securing new business (Salesforce & other business tools)
- Have a comprehensive understanding of the EnerSys capabilities and product sets as well as those of our market competitors
- Stay attuned to changes in customer, company and regulatory compliance
- Be prepared to manage and/or manually assist with both large and small projects as assigned
- Ensure effective communication and management of needs, expectations and capabilities within the EnerSys team
- State & key account/s focus for effective utilization of ENS resources.
Ideal Candidate
- Demonstrated experience in Business Development and key account management within high-value and complex customer environments
- Ability to establish, develop and expand upon key relationships at all levels within the client organization
- Comprehensive understanding of the industrial battery market and the role of the key market participants
- Strong sales, communication, presentation and negotiation skills
- Business, Marketing, Project Management, Electrical Engineering or similar field qualification desirable
- High attention to detail.
- Office 365 proficient
- Current drivers license / Forklift license (Optional)
- Ability to work independently of daily supervision.
- Ability to continually priorities work outcomes based on strategic importance, corporate timeframes
