Job Purpose
EnerSys is seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Director Quality – EMEA to lead our regional quality strategy across both manufacturing and customer-facing operations. This role will have a dual focus: ensuring supplier/manufacturing quality and supply chain excellence, while also driving customer quality and satisfaction. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with manufacturing, supply chain, engineering, operations, and commercial teams to embed quality across the entire value chain, supporting continuous improvement, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence.EnerSys is seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Director Quality – EMEA to lead our regional quality strategy across both manufacturing and customer-facing operations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Regional Quality Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement a 3–5-year integrated quality roadmap that aligns manufacturing, supplier, supply chain, and customer quality objectives across EMEA.
• Supplier & Manufacturing Quality: Drive operational excellence in manufacturing, including scrap reduction, process improvement (e.g., Poka Yoke), and adherence to KPIs and OEE standards. Support manufacturing audits and ensure compliance with IATF, ISO 9000/AS9100, and Nuclear regulations where applicable.
• Supply Chain Collaboration: Ensure incoming commodities meet specification standards and work with supply chain teams to integrate quality into procurement and supplier management.
• Customer Quality & Engagement: Partner with key customers to understand quality expectations, address concerns proactively, and ensure consistent delivery of world-class products.
• Global QMS & Compliance: Support and shape the Global QMS strategy, including CAPA management, document control, and automation of administrative functions by F2027. Maintain compliance with regional and international standards, including nuclear, military, and other regulated industries.
• Risk Management & Continuous Improvement: Lead root cause analysis, corrective/preventive actions, and risk mitigation strategies to improve product reliability and prevent recurrence of quality issues.
• Leadership & Team Development: Build, mentor, and inspire a high-performing quality organization that thrives on accountability, collaboration, and innovation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or related field; Master’s or advanced certification (e.g., Six Sigma Black Belt, ASQ) preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of quality management experience in complex, multi-country manufacturing or technology environments.
- Strong expertise in supplier/manufacturing quality, supply chain quality, and customer quality management.
- In-depth knowledge of IATF, ISO, AS9100, nuclear standards, and regulatory requirements relevant to EMEA.
- Proven track record in leading regional/global quality programs, continuous improvement initiatives, and cultural transformation.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with executive presence.
- Fluency in English required; additional European languages a plus.
- Willingness to travel 25–50% across EMEA and globally.
